Miggy Wood 24, is a new initiative of the Miguel Cabrera Foundation targeted for players 18U that combines a showcase, hitting clinic and baseball tournament.

After 4 years of successful implementation of Miggy Ball 24 (an event for kids 6-10 years old) in Venezuela and several cities in the USA, where more than 2.700 kids have been exposed to the 5 basic baseball tools in a recreational format, now it is time to turn to the youngsters and develop a more competitive format.

This is a try-out organized by the Miguel Cabrera Foundation, Southbat and the Top Prospect Farm, where 120+ players will display their abilities to throw, catch, hit to different parts of the field, power hitting and running speed; combined with a 2-day tournament to defend their team colors and compete for the championship and 2 spots for the Regional Final to be held at Publix Field in Lakeland, Spring Training site of the Detroit Tigers.

The highlight of the Regional Final event is the presence of Miguel Cabrera, where all the qualified players have the opportunity to meet, spend time and learn from the future Hall of Famer.

The event will be held August 23rd to 25th at North West Recreation Center in Apopka, it is limited to 8 travel teams of the Jacksonville, Sanford, Orlando, Kissimmee and Daytona areas and will have a cost of 200 USD x player (including all the field activities, collectible shirt & cap, showcase certificate highlighting individual results & hitting clinic); in addition, each team will received 4 wooden bats to be used during the tournament and all expenses related to the activity (example: coaches, baseballs & umpires) will be covered by the organizing team.

The Miguel Cabrera Foundation would like to extend an invitation to those teams 18U in the above mentioned areas to register for the event.
